
Waldo Cheung

Clinician with diverse experience in hospital and private practice, clinical teaching and research.
After completing his Bachelors in Kinesiology, Waldo spent two years in graduate school, while also working as a kinesiologist. His research focused on individuals living with chronic lung disease. As his dissertation came to a close, Waldo decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. Between 2019 and 2021, Waldo has devoted his time working in critical care in the Fraser Health region and private practice. Afterwards, Waldo transitioned from Fraser Health to work as a clinical preceptor for UBC's Physical Therapy program providing supervision and training for interns while also maintaining a busy practice. In the spring of 2022, Waldo and his partner decided to move to Calgary where he will be working in private practice.
Waldo has lots of experience working with geriatric, orthopaedic and neurological patients as well as post-graduate certification for dry needling and running injuries. Waldo speaks English, Cantonese and some Mandarin. Outside of work you will find Waldo rock climbing, trail running Canmore or Banff, or writing in cafes.
