Manuela Besomi

PT, MSc, PhD©

Manuela is a Physiotherapist from Chile with clinical experience in the management and prevention of running-related injuries and passionate about running and outdoor sports, especially trail running. She graduated from the Universidad del Desarrollo (2012) and completed her Master's in Clinical Epidemiology (Universidad de La Frontera, Chile) in 2016. She has recently submitted her Ph.D. thesis (The University of Queensland, Australia).

Manuela is the health director of a triathlon/running club (Runnit Chile, www.runnit.cl), and provide expert consultation in running injuries and performance. Manuela works as a researcher and lecturer at the Universidad del Desarrollo and is the lead investigator of the SeRUN® project (www.serun.cl) in Chile. She has been involved in multiple national international collaborations. Manuela has run several trail running and triathlon races and hopes to keep running for much longer.
